Everyday is a dietary supplement that, thanks to the plant extracts it contains, ensures a good intestinal function, thus increasing the state of well-being.

The modern lifestyle, characterized by stressful rhythms, hasty and little varied diet (rich in animal fats, refined sugars and alcohol, and poor in complex carbohydrates of vegetables, legumes and cereals), wrong diets and abuse of drugs, especially antibiotics, can create an imbalance in the intestinal flora, which often turns into constipation. A slow intestinal transit favors the accumulation of food waste, fermentation and toxins that create a state of autointoxication. These toxic substances, if not eliminated, are reabsorbed and reintroduced into the bloodstream intoxicating the liver, through the portal vein and the entire body.

The vegetable extracts contained in this product such as Cassia, Mallow, Frangula, Rhubarb, Verbena, Cloves, Plum and Propolis assist the digestive functions and contribute to the elimination of intestinal gas regularizing the intestinal transit.

Cassia.
Cassia (Cassia Angustifolia) is a shrub of the leguminous family. This plant, also called Senna, is native to North Africa and Middle East, it grows in hot and dry climates and it has been used for centuries as a laxative. This action is due to the presence of substances called anthraquinone glycosides which stimulate intestinal peristalsis, contracting the muscles of the colon without creating irritations. It has a refreshing effect and, absorbed by the small intestine, it acts on the colon after having been transported there by blood. Moreover it inhibits the absorption of water in the intestine thus improving the volume and the composition of stools.

Mallow.
Mallow (Malva sylvestris) is a plant belonging to the family of Malvaceae very common in all regions with temperate climate. This plant is an excellent natural remedy against intestinal inflammations, colic and light constipation, thanks to its soothing and mildly laxative action, due to the capacity of mucilages to form a sort of gel, which softens stools and increases the faecal mass, favoring its elimination.

Frangula.
Frangula (Rhamnus frangula) is a plant belonging to the family of Rhamnaceae. It grows in wooded and humid areas of North Africa, Europe, Middle East and Asia. Like Cassia it contains anthraquinones and frangulins, substances which stimulate the musculature of the large intestine, thus promoting peristalsis and emptying without causing irritations to the delicate mucous membranes of the bowel. Moreover, it stimulates biliary secretion, favoring detoxification processes.

Rhubarb.
Rhubarb (Rheum Rhaponticum L.) is a herbaceous plant which grows spontaneously both in Europe and in Asia and belongs to the Polygonaceae family. There are many species of this plant (Rheum) native to China and Tibet. Rhubarb is rich in anthraquinonic glycosides, stimulates the secretion of gastric juices and it was used since ancient times for its digestive, detoxifying and laxative properties.

Verbena Odorosa.
Verbena Odorosa (Lippia Citrodora Kunth.) also known as Cedrina, Erba Limonaria or Erba Luigia, is a plant originating from South America and it has been imported in Europe only at the end of 1700. It relieves gastrointestinal problems and promotes digestive processes. It has pain relieving and antispasmodic properties, an excellent remedy in case of abdominal colic as it promotes the elimination of intestinal gas.

Cloves.
Cloves (Eugenia Caryophyllata Thumb.) are the dried buds of the flowers of the carnation tree originating from Indonesia and cultivated for more than 2000 years. The properties of these buds are known since ancient times, and occupy a position of absolute importance in natural medicine. The analgesic qualities recognized to these buds are due to its active principle, eugenol oil. The latter is used to relieve toothache and is included in the recipes of many toothpastes and antiseptic and antibacterial products for the health of the oral cavity. Noted for its anti-inflammatory properties due to the abundance of flavonoids they contain. They improve the intestinal transit of food avoiding the accumulation of toxins harmful for the body.

Plum.
Plums are the fruit of the plant Prunus domesticus a tree belonging to the family Rosaceae. These fruits contain a lot of fiber, minerals such as potassium, zinc and magnesium. The dried fruit also contains many antioxidant substances. The main property of prune is laxative because it promotes bowel motility without irritating the mucosa. The effect is determined by the presence of dietary fibers of fructose and sulfur.

Propolis.
Propolis is a substance produced by bees at the end of the pollen collection season. When the hive prepares for the arrival of the winter season, some bees have the task of collecting resin from leaves and barks in order to transform it, thanks to digestive secretions, into Propolis which will be used to seal and protect hives. Propolis is mainly composed by resins, balsams, wax, volatile essential oils, pollen and organic and mineral material. The important antimicrobial action of Propolis is due to its high content of flavonoids, vitamin C, trace elements (calcium, iron, copper, cobalt, nickel, zinc, silicon, vanadium and titanium), B vitamins and provitamin A. The action of Propolis is similar to that of a broad-spectrum antibiotic and its therapeutic properties are truly remarkable:

  • antivirals
  • antifungal
  • anesthetizing
  • healing
  • immunostimulant
  • protective of circulation
  • stimulating metabolism

It improves the secretion of gastric juices, is diuretic, promotes the assimilation of vitamin C, and its use can restore balance in the intestinal flora if it is altered.
