The plant extracts contained in it, such as Turmeric, Bromelain, Boswellia, and Devil's Claw, have pronounced anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving, digestive, immunostimulant, and slimming properties. Regular use of Curcuma Plus helps prevent and reduce joint pain, improve digestive function, control body weight, and strengthen the immune system.

Content: 60 tablets of 400 mg.

It is recommended to take three tablets a day with plenty of water.

Bromelin

Bromelain constitutes the raw extract from the stem found in the immature fruits of pineapple. Chemically, Bromelain is a combination of mainly enzymatic active principles. The ensemble of these enzymes gives Bromelain useful biological activities, utilized both in clinical and nutraceutical contexts.

Bromelain possesses:

  • Anti-inflammatory and partially analgesic properties, useful in preventing myalgia, DOMS, and joint pains associated with osteoarthritis.
  • Anti-edematous properties.
  • Digestive properties, helpful in aiding digestive function.
  • Weight loss activities.

The usefulness of Bromelain in weight loss and obesity treatment is not so much attributed to its metabolic properties, as observed for other active principles, but rather to its anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous properties. In this regard, a particularly interesting result is the outcome of a study demonstrating the utility of Bromelain in controlling adipogenesis, the development of adipose tissue.

More precisely, Bromelain intake, by controlling inflammatory stimuli such as TNF-alpha and modulating the activity of specific receptors such as PPAR gamma, seems to inhibit the expression of genes involved in adipose tissue development. Another contribution of Bromelain to weight control also stems from its ability to reduce fluid accumulation and facilitate its elimination.

Curcumin

For many years, the properties of Turmeric have been known to Asian populations and have recently garnered attention from the scientific community. This interest arose from the very low incidence of cancer-related deaths in India, where the highest consumption of Turmeric in the world is recorded.

Research shows that Turmeric has antioxidant properties thanks to Curcumin, which is present in this spice. It has also been demonstrated that Turmeric blocks the growth of cancer cells, causing them to regress until their death.

Numerous studies have highlighted its protective effects on the digestive system, including the colon, stomach, intestines, and esophagus. Moreover, due to its anti-tumor properties, it serves as a preventive measure against breast cancer and appears to have benefits against damage caused by smoking. Therefore, we can say that Turmeric has countless properties, including:

  • Hepatoprotective and anti-inflammatory: Turmeric is a potent anti-inflammatory and digestive, exerting a powerful purifying and detoxifying action on the liver, especially for individuals who abuse alcohol or medications or suffer from hepatitis or cirrhosis. It is also indicated in cases of slow digestion and intestinal disorders. Thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, it is also an excellent remedy for arthritis, osteoarthritis, and various other muscle inflammations. It stimulates bile secretion, facilitating detoxification processes.
  • Cicatrizing and purifying properties: In India, Turmeric rhizome is applied to treat wounds, burns, insect bites, and skin diseases. It helps remove impurities from the skin, especially in cases of acne and oily skin.
  • Immunostimulant: Thanks to various studies, it has been shown that Turmeric is an excellent ally for strengthening the immune system. In case of flu or seasonal illnesses, a dish with Turmeric can be beneficial for the body.

Boswellia (Boswellia Serrata Roxb.)

Known as the "frankincense tree," Boswellia (Boswellia serrata) is a plant native to India, from which the resin exudes from the trunk. For several decades, most clinical studies have focused on boswellic acids, the main components of Boswellia. These bioactive molecules are known for their ability to reduce joint swelling, maintain blood flow within inflamed joints, preserve mobility, and alleviate pain associated with joint stiffness, without any unwanted side effects.

Boswellic acids have exceptional efficacy in limiting the action of the enzyme involved in inflammation, 5-lipoxygenase (5-LO); they also serve as a formidable aid in hindering the production of pro-inflammatory molecules (leukotrienes).

But that's not all; their action helps limit the impact of enzymes that cause tissue degradation in joints (such as human leukocyte elastase, HLE). Elevated levels of HLE are associated with rheumatoid arthritis and respiratory conditions such as chronic bronchitis, pulmonary emphysema, or acute respiratory distress syndrome. Beyond their potent anti-inflammatory properties, the active principles of Boswellia (boswellic acids) improve blood circulation to tissues affected by inflammation.

Boswellic acids have demonstrated their superiority over conventional non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) without triggering ulcers or gastric problems.

 Boswellia in combination with Curcumin.

The anti-inflammatory action of Boswellia and the antioxidant effect of curcumin make it an interesting solution for those suffering from osteoarthritis and wishing to avoid the side effects often associated with traditional medications. The curcuminoids (active molecules) in curcumin inhibit the synthesis of enzymes (lipooxygenase and cyclooxygenase) involved in the synthesis of substances derived from arachidonic acid that promote inflammation. These reduce the activity of the factor responsible for tumor necrosis (TNF-alpha) and decrease the production of certain substances implicated in inflammatory processes.

Curcuminoids act against the phenomenon that gives rise to joint pain and significantly amplify the effects of boswellia. At the same time, curcuminoids prevent the secretion of collagenase, elastase, and hyaluronoglucosaminidase, enzymes that damage joint tissues. In combination with curcumin, known for its disinfectant and bacteriostatic properties, Boswellia addresses skin problems such as irritations, eczema, and minor wounds.

Devil's Claw

Devil's Claw (Harpagophytum procumbens) is a herbaceous plant of African origin, widely used in traditional medicine with the aim of alleviating inflammation and pain.

Extracts of Devil's Claw are attributed with anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antirheumatic properties. These particular properties stem especially from the high concentration of flavonoids, triterpenes, phytosterols, and iridoid glycosides (such as harpagoside, harpagide, and procumbide) present in the roots.

Ingredients: Boswellia (Boswellia serrata Roxb. Ex Colebr.) gum resin dry extract standardized to 65% boswellic acids, Turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) rhizome dry extract standardized to 20% curcumin, Devil's Claw (Harpagophytum procumbens (Burch.) DC) root dry extract standardized to 4% harpagoside, Bromelain, Garcinia (Garcinia mangostana L.) fruit pulp without pericarp dry extract standardized to 20% mangostin, Thickener: calcium phosphates, Bulking agent: cellulose, Anti-caking agents: Magnesium salts of fatty acids and silicon dioxide.
